Strategic spaces of operation for Odebrecht, Latin America and Angola were the first to receive Organization projects as part of its internationalization process. So much so, that in 2012, Odebrecht celebrated 33 years in Peru and 28 years in Angola.
Odebrecht Latin America and Angola is responsible for leading engineering and construction projects, primarily in the infrastructure segment, and for training professionals committed to the art of serving. It currently has more than 53 contracts that employ 33,000 people.
The company currently invests in the following countries:

The following projects are some of the most important undertaken by the Company:
- The construction of Line 1 of the Panama City Subway and conclusion of the Remigio-Rojas Irrigation Project in the same country.
- In the Dominican Republic, the acquisition of 50% of the Coral Freeway concessionaire capital and consequent control of the company; the approval of the Palomino Hydroelectric Power Plant as a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Project in compliance with the provisions established in the Kyoto Protocol and UN Convention; and the conclusion of the Samaná Aqueduct (first and second stages).
- In Colombia, the Company won the contract for the second phase of construction of the Rota do Sol Highway, which will connect Bogota to the Caribbean coast, extending 528 kilometers and to be operated by Odebrecht for 15 years.
- In Peru, it also won the concessions for the Chaglla, Cumba, Chadim and Tambo 40 Hydroelectric Power Plants and to complete the Melchorita, Callao and Bayovar Ports and Sisa-Cuñunbuque Highway projects.
However, Odebrecht has participated in projects throughout the region. Among those it has completed are Maldonado in Uruguay, and the stretch of the Bioceanic Corridor in Bolivia.
