Femina is the tenth book by poet Myriam Fraga. In it, the author re-reads the recurring symbols of the feminine universe, such as embroidery, scissors, the mirror and the labyrinth. In this way, she forms a dense network of meanings to reinaugurate her own sense of femininity.
Cultural ContributionsBraskem Award
Talent and inspiration are not always enough for artists from the areas of music, literature, fine arts and film to make it in the arts scene. In Bahia, the Braskem Culture and Arts Award serves as the support that many of these professionals lack.
Since 1996, the contest has selected the productions of new artists through specialized judging committees, and awards them with sponsorship to launch their works. Each edition of the award generates two new CDs, two painting exhibits, three books and a short film. This initiative serves to promote the emergence of new artistic talents.
