Some 380 first grade students from Escola Municipal Célia Leonor Lopes Lunardini, of Guararema (SP), attended the lectures in the event to celebrate the Environment International Day that Odebrecht promoted on June 5. The event presented subjects such as garbage selective collection and recycling and distributed among the children information pamphlets. Odebrecht lent the school a garbage collector and donated the children cuttings of brazil wood, araucaria among other trees. Ten children were selected to plant cuttings of pau d'alho (Gallesia gorarema), the symbol tree of Guararema, in the town's central square. Guararema's secretary of Industry, Commerce, Tourism and Agriculture, Luis Gustavo Bennaton, and Odebrecht's management team building the Fire Fight System project (in Guararema and Guarulhos) attended the event.
