In rural Panama, where transmission lines are being built to carry electricity into people's homes, an Odebrecht initiative is opening up windows of opportunity to dozens of Panamanians. The Mobile Digital Inclusion Pilot Program teaches IT basics to those who have never used a computer.
Responsible for the Electric Transmission Third Line Project, Odebrecht is bringing knowledge and professional training to Panamanians in a traveling bus, equipped with computers. The idea has been made possible thanks to a partnership with the Technological University of Panama. “I can use what I learned at a job or transfer this knowledge to my children,” said a smiling Catalina Pascacio, one of the 60 people benefitted.
