On August 25, the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) School of Engineering and Odebrecht in the country established a collaboration agreement designed to contribute toward the professional training of Engineering students and also promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between faculty and Group professionals.
The ceremony marking the signing of the agreement was attended by Carlos Escalante Sandoval, Director of the UNAM School of Engineering; and Luis Weyll, General Director of Odebrecht in Mexico. On the occasion, those present also detailed the terms of the partnership, which will promote teaching, research and the diffusion of the culture within the academic sphere.
Luis Weyll explained that one of the initiatives will be the weekly holding of "Odebrecht Day at UNAM," to feature conferences about infrastructure and discussions on the participation of students in the Odebrecht Award for Sustainable Development. “We had the conviction that the integrated actions between the public, private and academic sectors are essential for sustainable development and to formalize public policies," said Weyll.
