After conducting a comprehensive search of its legacy systems and of the statements given by its former team members who collaborated in the investigations under Operation Car Wash, Odebrecht denies the accusations that it made a US$ 100 million payment to the former speaker of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, or that it paid said amount, directly or indirectly, via third parties or on its behalf, to the Spanish-based company TSE Arietis, as cited by the former inspector.

The company further refutes the claim that it received payments for work not performed and reaffirmed that the pace of its ongoing construction projects in Venezuela is consistent with the timetable of payments made by its local clients. Over the 25 years of its operations in Venezuela, Odebrecht has delivered several important projects that are fully operational and effectively serving the needs of many of the country’s communitie.
