The joint venture formed between Odebrecht (JV leader) and Andrade Gutierrez tended the bid of one civil works lot to rehabilitate the Itaqui Port in São Luís Maranhão. The project comprises the recuperation of port's berths 101 and 102 and the construction of a 72 thousand-sq.-meter retrofit area for berths 100 and 101. It is part in the port's expansion and refurbishing program. The contract is valued at R$ 73 million and is slated for conclusion in 24 months. The service ordered was already signed by Maranhão's Governor José Reinaldo Tavares, the president of the stated-owned Empresa Maranhense de Administração Portuária (Emap), Ricardo Zenni, and the State's Secretary of Industry and Commerce, Ronaldo Braga and the companies' representatives.
