Working through its Engineering and Construction Businesses, Odebrecht is the company with the Highest Transnationality Rate Among Brazilian Companies, according to a study conducted by the Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC). 

Held annually since 2006, the theme of the survey this year was "The Strength of the Brazil Brand for Creating International Value" and considered the operations of 66 national companies abroad. Its methodology considered two criteria: companies with Brazilian capital and majority control and companies with a physical presence abroad. Of the 66 companies analyzed, 52 are multinational and 14 operate through franchises. 

Also according to the survey, the internationalization of the Brazilian companies grew 1.6% in 2013, the base year for the ranking. South American leads the region with the highest physical presence among multinationals, with 75.8%, followed by North America, with 66.7%, and Europe, with 54.6%. The United States and Argentina are the countries with the greatest presence of Brazilian companies.
